I got a call today from the office, telling me that I was fired. Of course, I was very confused. When I asked why, my boss explained that my mother called and told him I was in a “weak mental state.” Therefore, he doesn’t think I am fit for the job anymore. I tried to respond that it wasn’t true but my boss hung up on me.

After a short moment of disbelief and confusion, I called mama to ask why she did that. She said since my birthday was coming up and it fell on a working day, she was trying to help me get that day off. I was so angry and told her the aftermath of her call. Obviously, she was sad but no remedy now.

Now, I have no job. Mama, why???
