I have been living in this building for 2 years now. There are four other apartments in the building. Since I have been living here, my next door neighbor and I have only exchanged words a few times. For safety reasons, I won’t say his name because he is a weird guy.

Last week, I was in my room when I started hearing a screaming voice. I went to the door and noticed the voice was coming from my weird neighbor’s apartment. I decided to go peep in his window. I couldn’t believe what I saw. I saw a girl on the floor and there were three other guys in the room laughing. As she lay there, one of the men moved towards her and kicked. She laid lifeless on the floor. I froze. I didn’t see what initially happened to her.

As I made an attempt to run, my eyes locked with the girl’s. She looked helpless and lifeless. I ran back to my room. I was so scared.  I called my mom and told her straightaway. She said, “You better keep your mouth shut, this is Lagos. They can come after you. Besides, you don’t know what happened to the girl anyway”.

Since then, I have been seeing this girl in my dreams. It’s like I am hallucinating or something. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Please, someone tell me what to do.
